Want to go from feel tired and congested to feeling energetic and youthful?
This is a very simple idea that makes so much sense that it's rather astonishing more people don't know of it. I can personally tell you it works.
It's incredibly healing and instantly youthifying and it does not take much effort at all.
Many cultures or religions have incorporated the idea of periodic fasting. Did you ever wonder why? Clearly most of us do not see any point in a day of relaxation, of some space and time of doing without, or, if we do, we feel that we "can't" step off the carousel, even for one day. In our greedy modern culture, most people have never fasted for the space of a day or longer -- unless perhaps they were too ill to eat.
Yet periodic fasting is incredibly healthy, and the explanation is simple and compelling. Here is how I heard it from Dr. Adam McLeod, a well-known biochemist, doctor, and healer (paraphrased):
We have been taught that energy comes from carbohydrates -- particularly, from sugar.
Actually, periods of eating less have given me much more energy than the eating of anything ever has.
Dr. Adam Mcleod also says that when people ask him the secrets to longevity, this is the NUMBER ONE factor. The number one thing you can do to live longer is to eat less. If you can't manage eating less all the time, manage it periodically and give your cells a cleaning break.
Andreas Moritz, in his book Cancer is Not a Disease, espouses a similar idea. He says that cancer builds up to surround toxins stuck in your body, and that cancer masses are, in fact, trying to protect you from the toxins.
He might be right in some cases. He might be wrong. But now that you know about garbage piling up in your body, wouldn't you rather just clear it out?
Has spring cleaning taken on a new meaning for you? I'd love to hear from you some time about how it works for you.

When you always eat as muchTo get your cells to clean up the garbage, give them a period where they don't have to take in new molecules.
as your body needs, your cells have no need to recycle. A pile of garbage molecules grows inside your cells.
Without the new molecules coming in, they'll go rummaging around in the garbage pile, re-use the molecules there, and clean up.It's as simple as that. Take a day and just drink lemon water and herbal tea, and give your body's cells a cleaning up day now and then. If you get braver, try a multi-day fast or a multi-day eat-not-much period.
You may be astonished at how much energy you feel after you fast a bit.I know I was.
We have been taught that energy comes from carbohydrates -- particularly, from sugar.
Actually, periods of eating less have given me much more energy than the eating of anything ever has.
Try it for yourself!*Of course, there may be some people who really truthfully can not deal with low blood sugar. These are, however, much fewer than the people who believe that they can not handle low blood sugar. Try an experiment before you dismiss fasting as a strategy. You might find, like I did, that eating less makes you feel more energetic than eating more ever did.

- Drink more water.
- Eat less now and then.
- Move your body in exercise or yoga -- particularly twists -- to help your lymph and blood do their cleaning work.
